　　Science is often considered failure-free, but indeed failures are not only normal, but also important components of the scientific enterprise and of the progress of knowledge.

　　Starting from famous errors in science and from experiences of well-known scientists, this lecture will describe the role of failures in science and which are the strategies to profit from them.
