  报告简介:

The international fusion program is presently active in the physics and design of devices following ITER (EU DEMO, BEST;…). The design of heating systems for DEMO or BEST are as, usual, based on a list of physics and machine (e.g. impact on the Tritium Breeding ratio) specifications completed by the ones on loads (thermal, mechanical, electromagnetic, nuclear).  In addition due to the full integration of the Heating and Current Drive systems in the operation of the reactor and its safety, the issue of the reliability is an important one and can lead to increasing the complexity of the system.  Extending this point to the reactor designed for supply of electricity to the grid, it will be a factor in the discussion with the utilities, since grid usually can cope with periodic supply of power, but under the condition of predictability.

Based on the experience gained through the work performed for the EU DEMO discussed in Tran et al., 2022 (Fusion Engineering and Design 180 (2022) 113159), I shall try to discuss some personal general considerations which might be useful for the design of heating system.
