  The interaction of Tearing Modes with the resonant magnetic perturbations  (RMPs), was been systematically investigated in TEXTOR, where the RMPs were generated by the Dynamic Ergodic Divertor and AUG, where the RMPs are generated by the two rows (upper/lower) of the internal coils. In TEXTOR which was a low-beta limiter device with balanced tangential NBI, and static/rotating (1kHz) RMPs, penetration studies were conducted, and the generated m/n=2/1island was used for the investigation of the effect of ECH and CD on tearing stability. For the first time the dominant effect of heating (for the suppression of tearing modes) was demonstrated, and also the advantage of the preemptive ECCD which was attributed to the second smaller stable solution of the Rutherford equation. In AUG, which is a high-beta divertor device, with unbalanced tangetnial NBI and static RMPs, RMP-penetration in strongly rotating H-mode plasmas is practically impossible. Penetration studies were conducted only in L-mode discharges, while in H-mode discharges the interaction of the NTMs with the static RMPs was investigated. That included also entrainment studies of NTMs by slowly rotating (Hz range) RMPs for disruption avoidance. Attention was given to the relation between the phase of the RMP and the locked TM, where recent theoretical models have been assessed. Finally, relative experiments are proposed for EAST.
